God kisses

Far too many times I have seen what would make a good picture and either one of two things happen to prevent me from capturing said picture. 1: I don't have my camera
2: I just don't take it

Unfortunately, sometimes I just don't have the time to stop and take the pictures that I see. In fact, I would more than likely never get anything done because I'm always spotting things that I think would make a great photo.

Other times, I have learned my lesson the hard way and realized if I would just have my camera with me all the time I wouldn't have to miss taking a stunning photo when the opportunity presented itself.

Today's scenario would fall under category "2"

I was driving and spotted a tree on the side of the road. The building it was in front of was not extravagant, the street itself was pretty plain. But this tree, this tree was blooming.

Here we are in the last few weeks of March and although it flurried snow the other afternoon today was sunny with a high of 65! I immediately thought how great some of the buds would look in macro mode! I was on my way to lunch with a friend (Who accompanied me in the car.) I apologized and quickly pulled into the nearest driveway and turned around. I didn't want to ignore this urge to take a picture of the very thing that caught my eye and made my heart jump a little inside of my chest. We went back down the road to the tree, I hopped out and snapped a few pictures and we were on our way again.

It wasn't until later in the afternoon that I was actually able to look at the photos I had taken from earlier that day. When I sat down and looked through the few of them I just smiled. I was so happy that I had gone back to take those pictures. The beauty of life and season of spring brought me absolute joy!

This was, a God kiss.
